Colombian born American artist Ana Maria Hoyos was born in Manizales in 1955.
She embraced painting as a means of expression, exploring her personal identity, both past and present within the context of the ever present human condition of today's modern woman.
She started her art education at Nohra Lennon School of Arts in Colombia, studying basic drawing and art skills and completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts at Bellas Artes School of Fine Arts in Cartagena, Colombia. Her artistic creations involve abstract, figurative and abstract expressionist on an emotional level.
Under clearly marked cultural influences, this artist explore an explosion of sensitive emotions which translate into the forms in her work as freedom and her views of life through her professional experience
Hoyos' works are sold by collectors worldwide, namely in USA, Italy, France, Belgium, Spain, and Colombia.in galleries, and private collection in the U.S and abroad. Recently her work showing in galleries in Europe; Paris (Thuillier Gallery) Liege Belgium (L’Espace 30 Gallery), and Art Basel has been subject of numerous articles and publications.
